NESFA was first conceived through conversations between Tony Coviello, P.E., S.E., of McClure Engineering and Dan O’Connor with Kamco Supply. The two thought the region could use the support of an organization to get steel framing subcontractors, designers, manufacturers, general contractors, and suppliers in one room to share knowledge on how to move the industry forward in the northeast. The success of the Mid-Atlantic Steel Framing Alliance proved as a proof-of-concept for the pair. Initial reach outs were well received and NESFA held its first meeting in May 2025. Our MissionTo promote the cold-formed steel (CFS) framing industry by bringing experts together to educate owners, designers, manufacturers, distributors and contractors in the benefits and proper use of CFS framing and to build strong relationships.
